When I fill in my VAT-number it says it is an incorrect VAT-number. What now?

When your VAT-number is new it may take some time before your VAT-number is included in the VIES database. Try again in a week.
Do you already possess your VAT-number for a longer period? Then check if the number you are filling in is really a VAT-number and not for example a company number.
