Can email addresses be imported from other programs?

From a legal point of view, we are not allowed to import email addresses in your online store’s newsletter module without the explicit approval of your customers (opt-in). As a result, your customers will need to first give their consent.

If you’re keen to use your old customer database anyway, we suggest you send a last newsletter the ‘old’ way, asking your customers to register again in your new online store. That will allow you to refresh your customer database and subsequently import your customers’ email addresses.
